Some people think the Web should be regulated by a central body. Other people think the freedom to say and do what you want on the Web should be protected. What do you think? Should the Web be under anybody’s control?
The Web is the last great place for personal freedom, where no Big Brother is watching over you. There should be no centralized government or laws for the Web.
Whether you like it or not, you are being watched online, by marketers, criminals, and employers, and in some countries by the government. Regulation would help stop these people and groups from exploiting or ripping people off online.
The Internet is global; there’s no way that one set of laws will ever rule. And it’s healthy for different cultures to have different standards, so there shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all environment online.
